Question: Discuss about the Engineering Design for Leadership and Responsibility. Answer: Introduction: The Manager from Technocrat - a philosophical journey presents a picture which differentiates the work of a manager from a technocrat. The manager manages their subordinates towards common goals using their managerial competencies and leadership qualities. The technocrats lead the organisations using their technological knowledge and skills. The governing bodies of the technocrat companies are people like technologists, scientists and other technical experts. The picture described infers polarisation and make the two groups look different from each other and they can coexist. Technocrats stress more on digitalisation and technological advancement instead of process development. The managers stress more on process transformation like allocation of resources, motivation and so on. The technocrats and managers have different approaches towards management and leadership of organisations.
